Our learner driver car insurance is a stand alone policy for drivers with a UK provisional driving licence. It runs alongside the vehicle owners insurance, this could be a family member helping the learner driver get experience on the road.
The learner driver must be accompanied by another driver who has held their UK driving licence for over 3 years and must be over 25 years of age.
The cover is a comprehensive car insurance policy, but to save you even more there is no cover between the hours of 10pm and 6am, which can be dangerous times for inexperienced drivers.
You can get cover for a day, a week, or multiples thereof, or 1 to 5 months. Get a quick quote by clicking the green button and you could be insured in no time. You can even print out your own insurance certificate.
Our learner driver car insurance has been designed to let learner drivers drive a nominated car accompanied with a passenger who has held a UK driving licence for 3 years or more. The policy is in the learners name, so any claims that are made whilst the learner is driving are covered by the learners policy, and not the vehicle owners annual policy holder. That also means they don't lose their No Claims Discount in the event of an accident whilst the learner is driving.
The more practice behind the wheel a learner driver can get the more likely they are to pass their driving test first time. Our cover means the learner driver can get behind the wheel and improve their driving skills. Once the learner driver passes their test the policy ends immediately.
